Weekends
My weekend is still going strong - I am recovering from a whirlwind speedy visit to London Ontario to see my in laws. Lucky for us our daughter and son in law came with us. We left on Saturday morning, trying to make good driving time so we could stop and show our son in law Niagara Falls (Canada side).
I remembered to take photos!
There were a ton of people there, well there is always a crowd. The first time I saw the Falls was on our Honeymoon almost 31 years ago. Time flies and all that good stuff.
We walked around, stretched out our achy car legs. Then proceeded to London Ontario. I did not take photos there. Sorry! Sunday was stuffed with driving around doing all the things we would ordinarily do over a three day stay crammed into a one day stay.
Today we drove back home and I'm doing the laundry. We had a great time but traveling tires me out so I'll be singing the praises of being home sweet home once more.
How was your weekend?
commenting on my blog so I get an email notification :)
ReplyDeleteGood so far. We sang yesterday and now are awaiting the arrival of our GK. More later maybe.
ReplyDeleteThe Falls look beautiful. It is so nice your daughter and son-in-law could also go visiting. Our weekend has been unseasonably warm - think August heat and humidity. We took flowers to cemeteries on Saturday, church and a Farmer's Market stop on Sunday. This morning I had coffee with two very dear teacher friends - two of us retired, one still working. A little knitting too.
ReplyDeleteAs I said on Instagram ....beautiful photos. Glad you got to have a good visit "up north".
ReplyDeleteHow cool to be able to zip off to there. Didn't know there was a London in Ontario.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I'd love to see Niagara Falls someday.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lovely, very full weekend! One of the good things for your daughter and SiL may be that they were clever enough to get out of town and visit you on UDel graduation weekend. We were here (still are) and the place was packed!
ReplyDeletewho the heck has graduation on Memorial weekend??
DeleteThe Falls are beautiful. So glad you had a nice visit.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. gosh! I haven't been to the Falls in years - probably 20 or so. Looks like a busy, but fun weekend. Welcome home!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great weekend! I've never been to Niagra Falls, but it's on my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip! I haven't been to Niagara Falls, either - but it's certainly on my bucket list!
ReplyDeleteI finally saw the Falls from the American side a few years ago. Diva was considering going to school near Buffalo. Instead she went way south to FGCU, for a semester. The Falls are astounding, no matter which side you view them from.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to the falls in decades. They are still so dramatic!
ReplyDeleteI think it's sweet that your kid & partner travel with you.
How exciting to see the Falls. I was 17 last I was there. You packed the weekend with good things and I hope your week has been relaxing and beautiful.
