Knitting News

My knitting news is the same projects on the needles as last week with some progress.

The True Colors shawl is the project that I work on in the evenings while watching TV.  I'm close to the color switch (main color becomes the contrasting color).  I'll be sad when I'm done with the pattern.  The fun of adding colors and watching the gradients is fulfilling as a knitter.

Of course I'm already thinking of another one, maybe to use up scraps....or maybe not.

The clover leaf shawl gains an inch or two per week.  I love having a lace weight pattern in the summer, in a project bag that is ready to go.  This is my babysitting knitting and my car knitting project.

The skein of fingering weight wool from my daughter and son in law in the photo below continues to wonder what I will make of it.  I'm leaning towards a cowl for me but haven't quite settled on THE pattern.

What are you knitting or crafting these days?

  2. Your True Colors is GORGEOUS!!! I love it. I also love the delicacy of your clover leaf shawl. That is going to be an awesome summer wrap. I had hoped to finish the leg on my second sock last night...but my eyes were tired and I started zoning out and not paying attention...never a good idea when knitting.

    1. If I write it up I will definitely share it. The stitch pattern is from a Barbara Walker book. The shawl is of my own inventions :)

  8. A shawl and a sweater are taking most of my time. I really should pay attention to the socks, too.

  10. I love how productive you are as a knitter. Dust never settles on your needles, and I love that!

  12. beautiful beautiful projects! Since we seem to so often gravitate to the same patterns....and your mojo is obviously alive and well and on overdrive, I'm seriously wondering if mine hasn't gone your way for a visit. Would you mind sending him home if you find him lurking somewhere?

  13. I'm loving your True Colors shawl. The colors you've chosen are 'my' colors plus I like the simple to remember/execute pattern with frequent color changes to keep it interesting. Definitely 'my' kind of pattern!
