Weekends

Hello!  Another weekend has come and gone, I hope yours was delightful!  We visited our daughter and son in law in Delaware on Saturday and had a fantastic time.  I didn't take photos while we were together but I've managed to document some of my quiet moments.

I worked only on my hat as photoed above.  I love the fair isle knitting portion immensely.

Above is my grand-kitty named 'Meiko' but they call her 'kitty'.  She is around 8-9 years old and they adopted her a year ago (ish).  She is a very vocal kitty!

Our Saturday was a ton of shopping where I bought another paint set and some used books.  We had a lovely dinner at a Thai restaurant then came back to their place for birthday cake, even though my birthday is later this month.

I need a detox from the sugar consumption!!

Sunday morning we went to Kennet Square to a craft/antique market and I found my very favorite new mug!  Moose and yarn!  We didn't have time to explore the town since we were on our way home, but that is definitely on my to-do list next time I go for a visit.

I picked up Frodo from the kennel last night and he is sporting a much shorter mustache after his grooming.  He had so many tangles that it was necessary to be extreme in the cutting.  He looks so dapper.

Frodo was sleeping on the couch and Holly was hiding under the loveseat, this is the two of them being together.  Much to my surprise. Holly snuggled up next to her beloved while Frodo snuggled up to me, in the same room.  Whenever we arrive back from any trip, they both act like they haven't seen us in forever.

My daughter and son in law bought me a skein of yarn (YAY) a plush Holly look-alike and not in the photo - a new art pen that lines like a dream.

How was your weekend?

  2. Oh that plush kittie is so cute!!!! And the real pets, are adorable also.

Lovely weekend. No need for lots of photos. Me'thinks we tend to spend way too much of our time, peering at life, through some form of picture taking "machine." Which seems silly, when we stop and think about it.

Memories are so much nicer. -smile-

Quiet weekend here, just as we prefer them to be.
