Chili Pepper Cowl
Over the weekend I finished this cowl and since then I've been wearing it. A dear friend gave me this skein for Christmas and I knew I wanted to knit with a pop of color during January.
I shortened some of the sections of the cowl since I only had 300 yards out of the 500 yards required. I love how the cowl turned out and it fits nicely.
I am sure I will be knitting yet another one since this is only my second time. The first cowl became a Christmas gift. Someone asked if this would be a great knit for beginners. If you know how to knit - purl - cast on and off - increase and decrease - and have skills for using youtube tutorials, I think this could be a great project for sampling different skills.
I like your abbreviated version very much! And, that color just sings! :)ReplyDelete
Perfect color for winter days. I like the different sections of texture.ReplyDelete
It is absolutely stunning! Enjoy wearing it this winter.ReplyDelete
That red is beautiful and sure does brighten up an outfit.ReplyDelete
Bravo. It is gorgeous and looks so gansey like!ReplyDelete
I like your shortened version too. I find if a cowl gets too tall I feel like I'm being strangled but that is just me. That chili pepper should keep you warm this month and brighten up any gray winter day. Very nice finish.ReplyDelete
That is just beautiful! What a great color! It really does pop!ReplyDelete

A fantastic finish! The color is awesome and I can see how the pattern was fun for you to knit with the different stitch patterns.ReplyDelete
