Golden Wheat Shawl

I set my mind to finishing this shawl over the weekend.  As you can see, I succeeded!  I love how it turned out and as we know, blocking out the shawl is magical.  I was worried that the size would be too small and my fears were unfounded.  I blocked the daylights out of it!

I love the lacy look and the way the shawl is shaped as a crescent shawl.  Crescent and asymmetrical shawls are my favorite at the current moment.

What have you been working on this week?

  3. So beautiful. I too, love asymmetrical and crescent shaped shawls. Triangles do nothing for my figure other than point to my largest asset. Rectangles are somewhat ok, but seem boring to make.

  4. Karen, that is so lovely! I had to put aside my knitting for a bit because I kept messing up the pattern. I am ready to return to it now, with new determination, lol!

  11. That is a truly fabulous shawl! And it looks beautiful on you.
I'm leaning toward longer, narrower shawls -- the ones that are closer to scarves.

  18. That shawl is beautiful. Blocking is magical. That shawl will be nice for fall. Today I wrapped up in one of my summery shawls and it felt good. I think this winter I'm going to pick out a few of the pretty ones that I usually wear out and just wear them at home. Why else would I knit them, if I don't wear them for heaven's sake?!
