Serpentine Cowl

I finished this lovely cowl a few days ago and finally it's dry enough to give the project a proper photo shoot. If you haven't knit this heartwarmer pattern yet you should, it's fun. I did not change needles sizes for the different stitch patterns - I used size four throughout. I blocked this cowl to be wider than longer hoping there would be less 'bulk' around my neck.

I highly recommend this pattern and the wool, Knit Picks Twill was wonderful to work with! I have one and a half skeins left over for maybe a hat or a pair of mitts, how lucky am I?

What are you working on this week?

  5. Splendid. I like the beautiful patterns next to each other ... wonderfully playful. I can well imagine that it is a pleasure to wear.
I sew a shoulder bag and am outside a lot ... because nowadays spring is 18 degrees with us... and that has to be used ... because maybe winter is coming back ??? Many greetings to you.

  7. That cowl is a beauty. I imagine you are really enjoying it. This evening I will weave in the ends on my purple sweater. The second sock leg is almost ready for the heel and I have one hand knitted on a pair of knits. Oh yes and the scrappy throw. I need to take myself in hand and finish something. Lately I have cast-on -itis. Too many WIPS doesn't work well for me.

  14. What a beautiful pattern! I'm currently working on a poncho by Casapinka called Magical Thinking. I chose it because it entails a lot of different stitch patterns and it has been a good learning experience for me. : )
