Knitting News

It's only fitting to use a cat project bag for the wool that Holly nibbled on as a kitten when I was unawares she was a sneaky naughty cat. All yarns are safely tucked into progress bags or hidden into a closet.

I started a new project! I know, I know you are wondering if I finished the sweater yet. No I did not but I am so close to being done that I could not resist a new cast on. So it goes.

I chose a simply memorizable triangular lace shawl that will grow until I am done with whatever size I wish it to be.

What are you working on this week?

  1. Oh I like that shawl pattern...and the fact that there are two different construction methods. Which one are you using? I think I have some languishing lace weight yarn in my stash....meanwhile I am working on a new pair of socks (of course!!).

  2. That is a pretty pattern and it will be especially nice in that lovely Holly-chewed yarn! I'm working on a Hitchhiker (of course!) but hope to cast on some new socks soon.

  4. A very pretty pattern for your pretty yarn. I have several skeins of lace weight yarn. This pattern might be the answer for them too.

  8. Beautiful pattern choice. Holly is like my Fezzy. I cannot trust that cat boy with ANY yarn. All yarn is in containers and dressers. I wish I could look at my yarns in the house, but I do love my cats. And everything must be put away. Holly you are worth it!

  10. Your story about Holly eating the yarn made me laugh! My daughter’s cat managed to find a bag of yarn the last time they visited and totally tangled the skeins! I learned the hard way to keep my yarn out of sight!

  11. I sewed Easter baskets ... I showed some on the blog ... and I took care of the Easter eggs so everything would be perfect on Sunday ... d. H. well prepared and stress-free :-)))
Tomorrow I'll bake cakes ... the bread is baked too and there is a smell in the kitchen ...
I wish you a happy Easter and lots of fun knitting (the sweater I just started is waiting for the embroidery needles) Do yourself a good time :-) Viola

  12. What a pretty shawl pattern. The yarn you have chosen looks bright and pretty. I am working on a pair of socks and a shawl. I wove in all the ends on a scrappy throw so it is on to newer projects. Shawls are my favorite thing to knit I think.
