Life is Good

Earlier this week we picked up some sandwiches and headed to the local park to watch the river, the people and enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. It was weird to see people out and about after a long winter of huddling at home and only going to the grocery store once a week.

I watched families with their children playing and running around, sitting at park benches and picnic tables enjoying each other, laughing and talking to each other. All of this made me miss family so very much.

I've been looking forward to being outside more and doing more adventures this spring season. My husband and I are back to daily walks (weather permitting) and watching signs of spring.

I've been journaling my brains out. Lots of creativity with creating art journal spreads, reflective journaling and sometimes I go out for a wistful wishing and pondering entry. The journaling has helped me digest this phase of life and helps me discern where I want to go.

I'm obsessed with planners, making lists and improving my 'wholehearted living goal'. I continue to meditate many times a day and repeat affirmations that are pertinent to me. You know what?

LIFE IS GOOD.

I am so happy to be sharing my days with my husband (and Frodo and Holly!).

I'm down to two knitting projects with a third percolating in the back of my mind. Once the sweater is finished, I'll be switching to shawl gift knitting. It is time, plus I want lighter projects on my lap.

The Christmas stockings haven't seen much love but they are there and I will get to them as well.

I hope where ever you are and whatever you are doing, you are happy and well. Thanks for reading and visiting here time and again. Your friendship, your comments bring me joy and make this big wide world a tiny bit smaller. Our collectiveness is a wonderful thing.

  3. Sounds like a lovely time in the park. Most of our restrictions have been lifted or greatly modified. It is so nice to see people out and about again. Our Covid numbers are waaay down and our vaccination numbers are waaaay up. Spring is in full bloom here and the temps are soaring into the 80s already. Life us wonderful. God is good all the time!

  5. It sure is nice to get out and see others...even at a distance. Too windy for me to walk today (gusts up to 45 mph!) and too windy for archery. We had hoped for a fire in the pit tonight, but that won't happen with this wind either. Oh well, you are right. Life Is Good!! So many things to be grateful/thankful for. Wishing you a wonderful weekend Karen - enjoy!

  6. oh it has been so difficult to be stuck and away from our most precious joy, family. MDK had a writer today who did a good job inviting people to say how they have coped, and i loved it. I am going to visit my kids as soon as vaccines allow
