Weekends

How was your weekend? Mine was and still is going strong.

Of course, I could show you and talk about all the boxes I packed or have to pack but where's the fun in that? Instead, I'll talk about the teeny tiny bit of painting I did in my art journal. I bought another (!) watercolor pan paint set and had fun playing with them.

Yesterday, our son and daughter in law arrived for a two day visit and we took them over to the covered bridges where my husband and I hung out while the current house was being shown by realtors. I have fond memories of being there with Frodo and a packed lunch in the pouring rain in 50 degree weather. I'll miss those bridges when I move.

Today is more visiting before they leave and head back to Indiana. Once again I'll resume packing boxes. We are ahead of schedule and going strong! Oh and we are on the eleventh SUV car donation load, could there be a twelfth? Perhaps.

How was your weekend?

  1. What a lovely weekend, both productive and fun! I'm glad you found a place for a picnic despite the pouting rain.

  3. Sounds like a great weekend. Love the photo of the water. I could sit by a creek all day (if it weren't for all the buggies).

  7. Sounds like you had a nice weekend amidst the packing! Ours was good, with a reunion with my former literacy workers and yesterday a farewell to our long time church organist. This afternoon we are headed to our younger daughters for a double birthday celebration. I got to come home from the hospital with our brandnew son on this day a fair while back; he was a special birthday gift!

  9. Great photo of the four of you. What a handsome one your son is! House showing are so full of promise. Overtime someone came to see our house, it was quick. Our realtor, told us to just pull the car across the street and watch. We could tell if they were interested or not very quickly. It was interesting. it only takes on bid!
