Weekends

Good morning! How was your weekend?

I had yet again another restful weekend. I'm enjoying the stillness and the nothingness in my weekend schedule. Each weekend that comes and goes without stress helps me to recover from the Move. We had family over for dinner Saturday night then my sister and I watercolored for an hour or so together.

Yesterday we celebrated 34 years of marriage! We didn't do anything super exciting, just went to Home Depot (I know it was a little dull but we did go out earlier in the week for a lunch out for our pre-game celebrations).

I'm thinking about what I want to do in September and am seriously contemplating a daily haiku. I know this month is a beautiful transition month into Autumn. I'll let you know if I decide to do it.

How was your weekend?

  1. Happy Anniversary and I hope you enjoy many more happy and healthy years together! Your notebook looks like it's getting ready for a daily haiku.

  3. Happy anniversary. I have been playing at haiku this year and it still feels awkward but it is teaching me a few things too. Enjoy this transition time.

  4. Other than meeting up with Vera it was a pretty quiet weekend. I put some project ideas together and knit on some projects. But, nothing too exciting. Today we get to go to HOME DEPOT!!!! LOL And, it's not even our anniversary! We're wild like that!

  7. Happy Happy Anniversary! Sometimes the best celebrations are the quiet ordinary ones. We had a lovely quiet weekend. The best thing was that we got a little rain late Saturday and early Sunday with a slight cool down. Late Sunday afternoon, my husband and I went for a little stroll around a beautiful city garden, "The Sunken Garden." That is as exciting as we get and I'm good with that.

  16. Happy anniversary 🍾 you gorgeous couple. Glad you're catching up on rest. I do that sometimes as it can be hard to sleep at night when it's hot here.
