Indulgent Cowl

Oh my, I thoroughly enjoyed this project! I loved how light and easy on the hands it was to knit it up. I still have lots of yarn left over to start another one moving the colors around. Would I keep both? Maybe or maybe I would place the second one in the gift box for whenever I need a gift for someone. Do you have a knit gift box?

What are you working on this week?

  1. That looks like a lovely cowl and I hope it keeps you warm throughout the winter. I don't have a knit gift box, but I wish I did!

  3. Beautiful! Love the yarn you chose. I don't have a gift "box." But I do have a tote bag in my closet where I hoard (LOL) gifts that I have either made or bought.

  5. Very pretty, Karen. You do such lovely work. I do have a knit gift box. It mostly contains dishcloths and scrubbies. I wish there was a need for hats, cowl and scarves where we lived. I would fill the box up with those.

  9. Great cowl! I don't have a "gift" box but I do have a "stuff I've knit and will probably never wear because, really, how many hats, mittens, scarves and shawls does a girl need?" box.

  10. What a pretty cowl. I have recently started a box of knit and crochet items as I can't always whip of something quickly anymore.

  11. !!! one of my very favorite patterns and it looks so pretty in those colors. I do not have a gift box - I want to "know" who I'm knitting for while I knit.

  12. A great finish. A knit gift box is smart to have. I usually tend to think of myself only.

  13. Your cowl is lovely, it looks so warm too. I am glad to hear that knitting it was easy on your hands. I don't have a knit gift box but I do have a gift cupboard full of unwanted gifts that we have been given and are not really things that we would use, or items that I have found that are greatly reduced and might make a suitable gift one day.

  14. What a pretty cowl. I love the colors. I have a tote bag in a closet where I store knits to be gifted. I like having a few things on hand. Goodness knows I have more than enough hand knits to keep me warm.

  16. I like the colours and it looks so cosy! If I could knit I'd definitely keep a box with things I could gift to people, such a thoughtful present :)

Hope that you are having a nice week :) It's a big week here - first week of school for the kids after the summer holidays!
