Knitting News

Hello! How has your knitting been this week? Or should I say how has your craftiness been this week? I know some of you do not knit but are creative in many areas. My knitting has been minimal during the past week and will be for the next few days. It seems each day I have a stray appointment here or there and then  -poof- the day is ending, I'm tired and I manage an hour of knitting if that.

The above photo is the feather and fan blanket in Lion Brand wool ease from deep stash. I have no idea how long this will be but when the yarn ends after ten or eleven skeins, this blanket will be done. I toyed with adding some more stripes but decided against it.

What are you working on this week?

  3. Hi Karen,
...that's a really pretty pattern...and I like the nice neutral colour...I'm working on a couple of little pressies that need to be shipped to Japan in time for Easter...so I can't say any more than that...haha...and then the littlest one has a birthday in May...so I'll have to get started on something for that as well...
    ~Have a lovely day!

  4. Such lovely knitting as always. I hear you on the one appointment in the day and poof it is gone. That is how my days are panning out at the moment too. I am not managing much knitting at all at the moment my evenings seem to evaporate too. I picked up my knitting yesterday evening and spent as much time undoing stitches as I did knitting as I kept making/finding mistakes. I think I was too tired or distracted.

  9. The blanket is very pretty.

Just a plain old sock for me this week. It's a pretty color, but the yarn says it wants to be plain.

  10. The blanket grows row by row. Some weeks the days do get away. I'm working on the same sweater but I do like the yarn.

  13. That is a beautiful pattern! I keep forgetting to update my Ravelry but I am working as much as possible on the sweater for my daughter. A couple hours each day and many hours on the weekend. Her birthday is the 27th and I hope to be done by then. I can always put off giving her my gifts for a couple days.

  14. I can't even tell that the yarn is in the bulky wool ease. That is a good amount of skeins you have for this project. It looks great. I hope to finish up my dress today and then I'm going to knit and maybe cross stitch. I have the first season of The Discovery of Witches that I want to start watching; the DVD is from the library.
