Weekends

Happy first day of August! We are crawling towards FALL and it is glorious. I'm noticing how the days are getting shorter and the cicadas are quite loud this year.

How was your weekend?

My weekend was quite restful! My husband and I took it easy and relaxed. Relaxing for me was reading and knitting, not necessarily at the same time. I started a pumpkin hat for our grandson yesterday - I'm making a bigger size because then he can wear it multiple fall seasons. We sat on the back patio coordinating our planners bringing them in paper sync.

I am thrilled to be home, to be sleeping in my own bed, having quiet mornings to ponder everything and nothing at all.

  1. It looks like fall knitting with those yarn colors! How I wish it was, fall but if the light is changing, maybe the heat and humidity will also be decreasing.

  2. Such pretty yarn, and a pumpkin hat just sounds FUN. My weekend was good and I am planning to relax some today (after my bothersome conference calls). It's time to cast on something new!!!

  3. A very sweet hat for a super sweet boy. I am interested in your inflammation book. Do you find it helpful at all?

    1. I only just started it so I can't say for sure. However, I think catching the inflammation before permanent disease is the key. So chronic disease symptoms can be lessened but not eliminated, if I am understanding it correctly. Hope this helps!!

  7. Looks like you had a wonderful week with the family! I also love coming home to mornings pondering not much at all. It’s the best kind of rest I have found.
