Weekends

Good morning! How are you all doing on this fine Monday morning?

All is well here in the land of ordinary time. After all the festivities that Christmas and New Year's Day brings, I'm welcoming the ordinary. I'm basking in the ordinary. Overall my weekend was restive and restorative. On Saturday morning, my sister and I did a long walk in the neighborhood with our dogs. Sunday morning was Mass then laundry (not too much laundry since the grandson had me doing loads mid week).

The whole weekend was filled with lots and lots of knitting and reading. Below is a little stack of current reads. I'm also reading Fairytale by Stephen King on my kindle which is not in the photo. The Walden book is a long term reading project, I try to read a page or so a day. His writings are not easily breezed through and each sentence is dense.

After weeks of dreary cloudy days the sun was out yesterday! Sunshine instantly makes me happy!

  2. I hope we get lots of sunshine this week. Last week was a dreary one (but no snow here, so that's a good thing).

  6. The bright red knitting is so cheerful looking. We have had 2 weeks of dreary weather. I don't mind it since we have 330 days a year of sunshine. It's a nice change for us. Our weekend was restorative also. That's what weekends are for, right?

  8. What a nice stack of books. I'm going to look for that Walden book. I started Middlemarch and though it is fun and entertaining, it is definitely a slow read!

  9. I love the color of your knitting project. You are reading several interesting-looking books. I also tend to read more than one book at a time. I hope you have a good week. See you again soon!

  10. There is nothing quite like ordinary days. What a nice stack of books. How is the book on creativity? I hope you let us know. Sunshine does make us happy, especially when it comes after a few cloudy days.

  11. We’ve been in the rain for the past couple of days, and I was grateful for the dry day we got today. I still don’t feel like I’m back to “normal,” but I’m not entirely sure what that means these days!
