Weekends

Don't you love the candid photos of Holly, she always looks like she's feeling guilty of something. This photo was taken around 5:30 in the morning and I have never seen her sleep on that chair. Amazing! How are you? How was your weekend?

My weekend was wet. I feel like we are in the rainy season. Today I have all the lights on to make me feel like there is brightness somewhere in my world. Friday night we went over to my sister and brother in law's house for dinner and game night. Our game nights have been on hiatus due to my dad doing his ICU thing. (he's doing well at home!!). So we are easing back into our regular habits.

Saturday I didn't do much except read or knit. I kind of wallowed in rainy day despair. Sunday is different, I'm completely ignoring the weather to the best of my ability and making my on sunny day. I painted a bit and did the laundry.

I'm getting excited about the baby blanket progress. I dug through deep deep stash and unearthed some girl-like colors for a possible sweater and hat. It was nice to go down memory lane as I looked through various skeins that were mine years ago or my mother's stash that I inherited when she died in 1998 (!!).

Anyways, I hope you have sunshine or are pretending to have some sunshine!!

  1. Holly looks so sweet.

We had buckets and buckets of rain as well. Today the sun is out, but not for long. Rain is supposed to come back for the rest of the week.

  2. Holly looks like she can't believe you took her photo. Then Frodo is completely oblivious to the camera. Quite a pair they are. That baby blanket looks so snuggly. I am sure it will be used often. How fun to go down memory lane via your stash.

  3. We did have some peeks of sunshine this morning but it looks like clouds are gathering again for more rain. So keep knitting and making your sunshine!

  4. The rain stopped long enough that I could walk each day. Your blanket is so pretty. Can't wait to see what else you knit for your granddaughter.

Nice to hear your dad is back home and you are returning to your old routines.
The blanket is going to be beautiful.

  6. We are having beautiful cool sunny days here. Saturday and Sunday the wind blew a gale so maybe it will blow sunshine your way. I'm glad you easing back into your regular routine. Enjoy the week.

  7. Nice to hear your routines are returning. Holly is just so charming. She does have a bit of a guilty look though! Our weekend was a soggy one too. Yesterday was sunny but way too windy and last night I woke to rain during the night. Grey and a bit uninspiring here today.
