Happenings

Hello! How are you doing?

This past week the temperatures dropped and it felt like early spring. I loved it because I do not like to be hot. All the early summer flowers are blooming in my yard, the views are spectacular. I babysat the kids on Friday night with the help of my aunt. We had a fun time and they were good. I also went to their house on Saturday afternoon and sat while they napped so that their parents could run some errands.

It's been a rough time the past three-four days because the antibiotic I was on (which I have finished on Saturday morning, thank goodness) caused severe nausea. I haven't felt that queasy since pregnancy. It was absolutely awful. In between bouts of nausea I managed to knit a little bit and get some laundry done.

I think I'm better now, I am definitely not worse! Yesterday I took a walk, first time in months and I snapped these photos. I enjoyed being in the fresh air and seeing the neighborhood. I might just go for another walk today. My seasonal allergies are mainly tree pollen and that has subsided quite a lot.

I will scale back my exercising routine until I feel 100% better. Of course, I continue to knit the christening blanket every chance I get.

  1. Your weigela looks amazing! Mine is in full bloom as well and it is just a riot of pink out my kitchen door! I hope you continue to feel better! (and your rabbit is just adorable!)

  2. Glad you are finished with that antibiotic. That must have been awful. My allergies seem to have lessened a bit as well. We had more rain and wind over the weekend...how tiresome! What a sweet little bunny.

  3. Between the grandkids, feeling bad, and the antibiotic you've been busy! I hope things are on a more even keel and stay that way.

  4. I hope you feel better soon and have a good week. Nausea is no fun! I'm glad you finished the antibiotic. There are some antibiotics I get a lot of nausea with too. See you again soon!

  5. With the exception of the severe nausea, your weekend sounds like fun! Your pictures are absolutely beautiful, Karen. Praying for you that the nausea will soon be totally gone. Antibiotics certainly tear my stomach up.

  7. Glad you are feeling better. Sometimes the "cure" just is not fun.

  8. I don't do well on antibiotics either. I am glad the worst is behind you and that you can get outdoors a bit. Walking outdoors is so good for mental and physical health. The flowers are beautiful.
