Happenings
Good morning! How are you?
I am 'okay'. It was a rough week last week and so now I'm on a different medicine to help with my autoimmune problems (that NEVER end). But I really don't like to complain here, oh, and thank you for your well wishes, they mean a lot to me!
Last week, my husband and I went to Heintz Hall to see Diana Krall. I am not a fan of jazz music but my husband is so I went as his side kick. Keep in mind he went with me to see My Fair Lady and The Book of Mormon last year and he is not a fan of musicals. I do not recall ever being in this hall as a child so I was thrilled to get a peek inside, it's beautiful!!
I did not take photos while the music was playing, I wasn't sure if it was permitted or not. We had a nice evening out. We also made a 'friend' who was sitting beside my husband. People are so nice!
We were busy this weekend helping with the grandkids, who are a joy to be with as long as no one is crying about something. ha ha.
Since I wasn't feeling great, I read a lot. The book below is really good! I bought it on one of my trips to Boston (I think...). I couldn't put it down yesterday and already I'm half way through!
I knitted in the evenings but not much.
Do you like Jazz? If not what do you like to listen to?
I love Diana Krall so much, I count myself fortunate to have seen her play a very long time ago at the Gilmore Piano Festival in Kalamazoo, Michigan! I hope you enjoyed your evening despite not being a fan of jazz!
ReplyDeleteAbout the only thing I do not listen to is the new version of rap.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon.
Jazz is not my jam either but an evening out with my hubby would make it OK. Hopefully your new meds will work. Finding the right solutions to health issues is so hard sometimes.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Karen! I don't really care for Jazz... I mostly listen to gospel music. I'm sorry to hear that you are still feeling rough. I pray that soon you will be feeling well.
ReplyDeleteYup - I like jazz a lot. We usually have WRTI on (the Temple Univ. radio station - classical during the day and jazz at night. But we also listen to other stuff too - folk, rock, you name it. Just not really loud stuff. Hope your new meds kick in and work for you. The book looks interesting. Thanks for the recommendation.
ReplyDeleteNot a huge jazz fan (but I do LOVE a good musical!) but great that you both will be each other's sidekicks at different events!! Hope your new medicine does the trick and you feel much better this week. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteThat hall IS beautiful! I love the architecture in the first picture today! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI'm praying that you adjust well with the new medication and that it helps you. Autoimmune things really are not pleasant and can become discouraging at times.
I do like jazz.
I'm not a fan of jazz, but that hall is lovely. I am off to see of my library has that book - fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI love jazz - but don't listen to it often anymore. Hope the new medication gets you feeling healthy and fit again soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope the new medicine helps.
