Happenings
Good morning! How are you? Are you in the deep freeze like me? Today the temps will feel like 15 degrees below zero by the end of the day. That is quite cold! I like winter and I love snow but I am not a fan of extreme cold.
Since posting last Wednesday, my symptoms yet again got worse and I ran a very high fever on Friday. I went to urgent care and was finally given antibiotics which I felt should have been given to me a week ago. Health care is completely nuts these days. However the nurse practitioner was wonderful. After 48 hours of modern medicine I am fever free and I am starting to feel much better. My whole weekend was lying around wallowing in self pity (I always have enough energy for self pity).
My cousins and Aunt gave me flowers which Holly wants to eat so badly. During the day they are on the mantle and at night they go into the stationary tub in the laundry room with the door closed. I don't think she can jump to the mantle but I know cats and they do crazy things. My sweet sister made me homemade chicken noodle soup and an apple cake. I felt loved!
How are you? What do you do when you don't feel well to feel better?

I hope you are back to normal soon... and I hope you are getting good rest. I know it is not easy, but really rest is the best thing!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you had to go to urgent care, but glad you (finally) got the medicine you need. Rest, rest, rest - the best thing for getting better. I always take plenty of naps.
ReplyDeleteHomemade chicken soup will surely help. I hope you get well quickly.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful. Homemade soup is so wonderful. You have great relatives. Anything below freezing is too darn cold! That is one of the reasons I no longer live in PA. Although spring and fall are gorgeous there!
ReplyDeleteOh geez! Sorry to hear that you got so much worse. But happy to hear you are on the mend. Those flowers are beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteOh no.. sorry to hear you are not feeling well and had to make a trip to Urgent Care. But happy to hear the fear has broken and you are feeling a bit better now. Keep resting.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better. Love the flowers.
ReplyDeleteYou poor dear! I am so sorry to hear that you started with that high fever on Friday. Glad you went to Urgent Care...and that they gave you antibiotics this time. If it's anything like around here, most people are told it's a virus that is going around and antibiotics won't help. But then when people get so sick that they have to go back the second, and third time, THEN they get antibiotics. It's crazy.
ReplyDeleteWhat do I do when I get sick? I make your Leek, Kale and Potato soup with chicken broth. :)
Goodness sakes. You are loved and the flowers are beautiful.
