Happenings

Good morning! How are you and how was your weekend?

I'm doing pretty good and I had a restful weekend. Since I have my 'wind' glasses now (moisture chamber glasses for dry eye) I am walking outside regardless of the crazy weather. They transition so I get the best of both worlds. I am happy with them and I'm glad I bought them and put my prescription in the lenses.

I spent a lot of time resting and reading in the afternoons. I'm mostly reading self help books which I am getting tired of reading. Once I finish the two I'm currently reading, I'm switching to history for my non-fiction reading. For fiction I'm in the middle of My Friends and I'm enjoying it. I have the kindle version and love that I can carry a big book in a small devise. Also when I read at night I can tent it onto the pillow and when I fall asleep I do not get bonked on the head with a heavy book.

I had lunch over the weekend on the back patio and listened to the noisiest Northern House Wren ever. I loved it. Also I've got so many birds coming to my feeders! There are mama birds bringing their fledglings mostly house sparrows this week. It's the hub of the neighborhood.

I'm working on the second sock and can't wait to get to the mindless stockinette stitching.  Yesterday was Father's day and we had the kids and grandkids over for brunch. Our daughter in Boston called my husband as well last night. It was a very chill day. Sadly my husband tweaked his back so he wasn't doing much like he usually does but thankfully ibuprofen helped him.

Do you feed the birds? Do you have an outdoor eating area?

  2. I've never heard of those glasses, but so glad they are working for you! Beautiful flowers. Hope your husband's back is better soon. We do feed the birds, but only Fall-Winter-Spring. Fletch insists there is enough for them to find in the Summer that we do not need to feed. If it were up to me...but that's another story!
