Happenings

Good morning! How are you doing? How was your week? Happy Fourth of July a few days late. We had a family gathering that day and I am so very grateful for the helping hands that made my work less work. I paced myself and delegated and yet I was still exhausted. I miss the days when I had endless energy when I was younger.

Anyways, I was excited to get an email from the local farmer's market that their corn was in!! Wahoo! Their corn is superior to any store bought corn. Just saying..

Yesterday after Mass, we offered to watch the local grand kids for an hour or so while my son and his wife did boring errands. My granddaughter played 'hospital'. That's the hospital in the photo above. I must say she is a thorough doctor and made everyone feel better. My grandson was building cars from my son's old brio set.

Because of my virus battle (still winning!) I had low energy and did minimal knitting. However I did sit on the back patio when it wasn't sweltering hot and knit a row or two.

How was your week? Do you have local corn or a farmer's market you like to visit?

  1. Due to the oppressive weather, I have not felt like doing much of anything. Im drinking lots of seltzer and staying hydrated. Thanks for the reminder to get to the farmers' market and pick up some corn!

  2. This weather just saps the life out of almost everything! I did manage to knit a few rows over the weekend. And I need to head to the farmer's market this week... that sweet corn looks amazing!

  5. Hi Karen! Yes, we have a Farmer's Market at a park just up the street from our home. I hope to go there every week for more fresh produce! I do love fresh corn on the cob! That picture of all the dolls on your couch brings back memories of when my girls were little. I hope you have a wonderful week. It's always good to see what you are up to! See you again soon!
