Current Knitting Projects

I am obsessively knitting these wash clothes.  As fast as I cast on, I'm casting off!  So you can guess that the other projects are suffering a bit from my attention.  I'm planning to give them as gifts and I'm knitting as many as I can before I'm tired of knitting them.

Above is my husband's cowl on the left and my second pebble beach shawl on the right.  Both delightful and both have had some knitting time.  Of course the knitting time is limited due to the wash cloths.  I have my knitting priorities!

Yesterday was a rainy dreary day and while the weather is warming up, the snow is nearly (nearly!) melted, I'm yearning to be outside.  Hopefully today is the day I'm back to walking.

  2. It was grey, rainy, and dreary here yesterday also, so I treated myself to some colorful cotton yarn since seeing your cheerful wash cloths has brightened the view. I haven't cast on yet because I have a few other projects I want to finish, and I know they'll be like potato chips once I start!

  4. That is my favorite dish cloth pattern and I make a stack of them as stocking stuffers every December. Seeing your pretty ones has me thinking that I should make some for myself!

  8. Cheerful, bright washcloths - perfect! Our sun is (finally) out today and the snow is mostly gone (except for huge piles left by the plow...but those have dwindled).

Washcloths are so much fun and you really feel a sense of accomplishment pretty quickly.

Love those bright colors. They'll make dishwash almost fun . . . ALMOST.

  13. LOL! I'm continuing the obsession with you! LOL! What is it with the dishcloths? LOL! I"m lovin' them. I went through one other dishcloth frenzy a couple of years ago. It is fun while it lasts. And, as you've said they make nice little gifts. Plus, they make me happy doing dishes. blessings ~ tanna

  17. I hate to knit washcloths, but I desperately need to restock the supply in my kitchen. Maybe I just need to get a fun colorway of cotton! hope you got back outside to walk ... the pollen has been awful here, but it rained last night. the air should be a little less yellow today!

  18. Ha Ha! I've had crocheting projects like that...and it is usually the dishcloths or washcloths! They are fun at the beginning, but after a while they get a bit boring and as soon as I meet the goal I've set for myself I'm off to start (or continue) a much larger item...like a shawl or afghan. :)
