Silver Leaf Cardigan Complete
Oh hey, hi there! I have finished another top down sweater, it seems to be the sweater to knit of 2017. Maybe I'll be casting on another one for my sister before the new year, after I knit a sweater for my son in law.
Could Mother Nature give us some pleasant weather?? Please? You know the kind, cool breezes - seeing puffs of breath from the cold air. Ah, soon. Then I can wear this knit with pride and not be overly hot from the wool.
I'm ready to focus on mostly small knitting projects for the time being for the holidays. I've lined up some hats to knit and maybe some cowls. During all of this gift knitting, I'm thinking of selfish knitting the whole time.
Ravelry notes are here
I LOVE the sweater - it's perfect, and the color looks fabulous on you! Once we actually get some sweater weather (please, soon!), wear it in good health.ReplyDelete
Very cute! The sweater, too! I love the color. Sweater weather can't be far away!ReplyDelete
So pretty....and that is a perfect color for you. Congrats on another warm snuggly sweater for when it FINALLY does cool off.ReplyDelete
Karen it is stunning, a beautiful make and colour that really suits you.ReplyDelete
That is a pretty knit, weather here would be perfect temperature to wear it, decidedly chilly!ReplyDelete
Your cardigan is absolutely beautiful! Love the color and it looks so nice on you. This is one of my favorite projects that you have made. I am starting to look forward to winter because I don't think we will be getting our normal fall weather. It is just hot, muggy and miserable. I come back from walking at 6:00 a.m. dripping sweat. It looks like fall with leaves changing and falling but it doesn't feel or smell like fall. Hope we all get some cool fall days soon.ReplyDelete
Your sweater looks perfect! The weather here in Texas is beautiful, too. We are planning a picnic at the park tomorrow. It's been so hot until about two days ago. I feel inspired to get my hand knits out and pick out a sweater to wear. It's something little but I'm looking forward to it!ReplyDelete
I love being welcomed to your kitchen. I adore that sweater lady!!! cold, dreary rainy drizzle today. Off to nap~!ReplyDelete
Gosh, that sweater is just perfect! I love the tonal neutral color, which looks fabulous on you, btw. Well done!ReplyDelete
oh it looks lovely and just in time for when your weather does change.ReplyDelete
Why the serious face? At first I thought there was something wrong with the sweater. LOL. It is perfect! The color, the fit, the whole shebang! Good job.ReplyDelete
Yay on having an FO to cuddle up in! I can tell you love it.ReplyDelete
Thank you for your sweet la hanau wishes for my teen. Yes, she has grown up fast. When she had turned 10, I was already amazed at having been a parent for a decade and now it's three years later.
Your cardigan looks really nice! you sound so busy with all your projects that is great. I should get going on knitting Christmas gifts again since it is approaching faster now. Have a good week!ReplyDelete
It is such a pretty cardie and suits you beautifully (my Nan always called them cardies and my children laugh at me when I say it). I must get on and sort out some projects, I miss my needles!ReplyDelete
I love this! And such a pretty color too.ReplyDelete
It is so lovely!!! Perfect fit and the color is so fresh!ReplyDelete
Oooh, the sweater is gorgeous. Sometimes knitting tried and true favorite patterns is the way to go. It fits well and the color is so delicate and perfect on you. On Monday our weather turned very cool so maybe the front will move East toward you. I hope so.ReplyDelete
Congratulations on finishing such a gorgeous color -- and making it a perfect fit! That whole fit thing still scares me. The color is gorgeous. You'll get a ton of wear out of this.ReplyDelete
It’s lovely - and it really suits you. I am yearning to knit a light weight top down cardigan at the moment - even though we are heading for summer here in Australia and I won’t wear it until next April at least!ReplyDelete
Lovely cardigan! Such a beautiful soft colour.ReplyDelete
That sweater turned out beautifully!! It's such a pretty color on you and it fits so nicely. I'm joining with you in wishing for October weather. looks like maybe we'll get some next week.ReplyDelete
Looking sharp. That's such a fabulous color. We've had both ends of weather here. Cool mornings/nights with more temperate day time temps. I got to wear a cardi and a shawl this morning. Now the shawl's off... Hot tea all the way, though!ReplyDelete
Awesome color for a pretty result!ReplyDelete
