Merry Christmas Eve! As promised, I'm doing a quick post to wish all of you Merry Christmas and happy holidays. My house is full of company and like many of you I'm swimming in details of a long to do list.

My added to-do item is kitten-proofing the front room today. Holly needs some freedom, so I'm putting the Christmas decorations and the little tree away so that she can be F R E E. I hope she likes it. Right now she is hiding under the sofa, I hope in 24 hours she loves her new space.
I was trying to wait until January 1st, but gosh, she is getting bigger and bigger. We have her sit with us in the family room many times during the day to socialize with Frodo and us. We have the lap sitting down to a science.

Well, the kitten proofing calls me, wish us luck!
By the way, she tested negative to feline leukemia and has almost doubled her weight in two weeks (oink, oink). She goes back to the vet in mid January. We are happy with her progress.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. Hope you have something fun to be knitting too.ReplyDelete
There is nothing sweeter than an evening full of "lap" pets. Merry Christmas, Karen. I hope you have a wonderful weekend full of celebrations and snuggles.ReplyDelete
The video game is Nier: Automata and I am officially jealous of your son's 2B figure. (:ReplyDelete
So glad you knew the game!!Delete
She is going to be just fine in her new space!ReplyDelete
That's a wonderful weight gain. I am truly impresses. I looked back on Pie s baby record. For the first month we had her she gained NOTHING nada, zip zero. And she ended up a 6 lb grown cat.ReplyDelete
Holly is just so adorable! She is such a lucky little kitten. I am really enjoying following along with the progress she makes with adapting to her new home and companions. I really believe that she and Frodo will accept each other and be tolerant of each other if not friends. Though I do think becoming friends is a good possibility. Merry Christmas and I hope the new year brings you and your family much joy!ReplyDelete
Hip-hip-hurray for the clear tests and weight gain!! Sooooo happy! She LOOKS so much healthier... and happy! You know I still believe she and Frodo will become best buds... in time. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas, Karen. I am thankful this Christmas for the gift of your blog-friendship. ENJOY the festivities and your loves! blessings ~ tannaReplyDelete
Your little kitty is so cute. We've had a quiet weekend so far...made some rosemary walnuts for something different for Christmas. Our dinner with the grandsons is Tuesday so I have an extra day for cleaning and cooking. Merry Christmas to your family and pets.ReplyDelete
Just popping in to wish you and all your readers a very happy Christmas. Well done with the kitty too- in that last photo she looks the picture of contentment ( Frodo less so but I’d lay bets she will have him completely under her spell in a couple of weeks!)ReplyDelete
You have the kitten living down to a fine art and your baby steps will pay off handsomely! Happy Christmas, Karen. May your day be beautiful and full of joy and love (I know it will be). Peace to all of you.ReplyDelete
Merry Christmas to you & your family!ReplyDelete
Merry Christmas, Karen! Love that sweet kitty. It's very snowy here, for the first time in ages.ReplyDelete
Merry Christmas! Looks like Holly is all cozy and happy. It must be so nice to have her around at Christmas. Hope you all had a good time together xReplyDelete
Holly is getting so big! I'm glad she is healthy and adjusting well to your home and Frodo. Our tree is still up. We'll put it away probably on New Year's Day.ReplyDelete
I may give The Hunger Games series another go b/c of you. I think I may be more indifferent to the bloodshed since I've been reading fantasy for some time now. Hoorah on reaching your reading goal. My goal will be a 100 for 2018.Delete
I hope your Christmas was full of joy and love. Holly is growing more healthy by the day. Enjoy this holiday week.ReplyDelete
I'm glad everyone is doing well! The photo of the two "kids" side by side is super cute. Wishing you merry every thing.ReplyDelete
