Antler Hat

What a fun hat pattern to knit up quickly with some super squishy wool.  The wool is from Andrea's shop -  tributary yarns.  This wool has a lovely hand and the twist is perfect, I highly recommend this worsted weight wool.

Tin Can Knits have an array of patterns that are great for beginners and intermediate knitters.  This pattern incorporates easy cabling and knitting in the round.  The pattern has written and charted instructions.

  1. That's a great hat! Love the color of the yarn (but that's a given, I love green). Also love the pattern.
If I feel up to following instructions (I hardly ever do) this is one of the patterns I'd really like to try.

  2. Super cute hat!

I'm working on the second crocheting project to get it finished up. It actually had been my first project, but when I started the second project of the pink shell stitch baby afghan it was a pattern that flows so easily and I finished it first! You know how that goes. :-)

  3. That is a wonderful Antler hat! I've knit this pattern twice, once for an adult and once for a baby, and it works beautifully in any size. Enjoy your lovely warm hat!

  5. Karen! This is so exciting. This is the first project I've seen completed with my yarn that I haven't knit myself. Eep. It came out wonderfully!

I also really love this worsted. I'm pretty picky, but I think it has good loft and isn't itchy. Plus it's from happy sheep, so I'm thrilled.

    Yay! And thanks for sharing.

  6. I knit an Antler Sweater and Antler Mittens but not the hat. Yours turned out lovely. I surely do like that shade of green. Happy Easter!

  9. I love that pattern, I have thought to use it so many times, but can't say why I still haven't made it. I just need to do it and have the perfect worsted for it. Maybe this year?

  10. I like the color of your beanie and I love how the cabling came out. I wonder if there is a trick to decreasing with cables...
