Peace Project Cowl

I took some photos of this beautiful cowl yesterday and my was it a warm wooly cowl.  I'm not a fan of wearing wool in the summer so my photos where fast and furious.  Have you knit this cowl yet?  I know some of you have knit it up.  If you haven't, you should.

I loved the simplicity of the stitch pattern yet the striking design of the slipped knit stitch.  I will maybe knit this again.  (I'm thinking a great Christmas gift...).

The wool was from my daughter and son in law for Mother's day and the sturdiness of the wool gives excellent stitch definition.  I haven't soaked it yet, but I'm guessing a soak in a wool wash will make the fabric softer.

I love cowls that can be wrapped twice.  I wear them the most and yet I own few that I've knit for myself!

  1. Oh, this turned out so lovely! I love the yarn and this will be the perfect "neutral" and I think once the heat of summer is just a memory, it will get lots of use!

  2. That is a beautiful cowl! I love the yarn - a great neutral that is more than just beige. I've knit one and have another one on the needles that I really should finish before fall.

  12. Thumbs up. Yes, an infinity cowl needs to wrap around twice. I don't like droopy cowls in that length. I wear my summer cowl that my swap partner made me for the last mini swap. I love it and don't care if it doesn't go w/my outfit.

  15. The cowl turned out so well. I did knit that pattern the year it came out and gave it away. Thanks for bringing the pattern back to my attention. The neutrals should mean you can wear it with many colors. Well done you!
