Knitting News

I was hoping this shawl would be off the needles but yesterday was a babysitting day and a three year old doesn't stop much anymore.  Maybe today I'll be casting off!  I love working on this super simple shawl pattern and watching my gradient colors shift from one to another.

I started a hat for me last weekend but haven't worked on it much lately.  Once the shawl is done I will be focusing on a 'me' gift.

Last but not least are my mitts that I ripped out and cast on in the larger size.  I've done a lot of knitting but little to show since I started over.  I love working with this earthy wool.

  1. Isn't it amazing how gradient yarn encourages you to just knit a little more? Gotta get to that next color!!!! LOL Love your little turtle progress keeper.

  2. Love that hat pattern, can I justify making myself another hat? Three year olds and knitting don't go together at all do they? I remember having to sneak a few minutes here and few minutes there when mine were that age.

  4. I love the colours of our shawl. 3 year olds require eyes in the back of your head!

  5. I love the gradient colors! Knitting with three year olds... I didn't knit when my kids were little, but I can imagine you can't get much knitting done.

  9. Beautiful colors in that shawl. Savor them as you finish up. The mitts look so pretty. Sometimes I think I am running out of adjectives to describe all the knitting. I love it all. I have yet to try Richard Rohr but I want to add one of his books to my list.

  10. Beautiful shawl and a great stack of reading! Our almost 3 year old is on that brink of needing to be constantly watched and ready for shorter times of alone play. Busy times
