Felix Cardigan

I finished another sweater!  I feel super productive when I think about my knitting.  This design was a fun quick knit and I'm already thinking of what I could knit next with some 'vintage' yarn in my stash.

I took a wild guess with gauge when I chose to use size eight needles instead of size 10 and cast on the bigger size.  Lucky for me the sweater fits perfectly and now I know I can do another sweater the same way.

This yarn I bought at a garage sale for peanuts.  I love when a family member clears out someone's yarn stash and doesn't know the value.  I bought a huge bag of wools for $8.  Incredible.

Looks like winter is returning and then I can wear my cardigan without being hot.

  3. Is that brown? It certainly looks so to me, and it is gorgeous!

We were supposed to be getting messy weather too, but so far, it hasn't been much, but some rain. But winter is not over yet.

And so nice to see your pretty self!!!!

  4. That sweater looks fabulous! I purchased the pattern when it came out and seeing yours just moved it up the list of things to knit. The color is also quite nice. Have a good day and yay to knitting progress.

  5. Your sweater is beautiful. I am awful with figuring out gauge. Knitting sweaters stumps me.

  6. What a great cardigan. You certainly did guess correctly about the gauge/size. It fits so well. Are you headed back to winter? The precip forecast for Tuesday passed us by. This week feels as if March as come early. What knitting is next?

  7. Go YOU! what a(nother!) fabulous finish ... and the color looks perfect. I would love to have that sweater in a lighter weight yarn and might "borrow" your idea to simply knit a size up.

  12. It looks lovely, I do like the colour. You are knitting so fast at the moment, your needles must be on fire. What a great find in a yard sale, maybe I ought to go and visit them more often I might find some myself!

  13. Felix looks awesome on you! I love that rich brown and the ragland detail too. I bought yarn to knit a Felix but realized I couldn't begin to get gauge with it. I wish I'd have thought about knitting a different size. Doh!

  14. Great, dark berry color and good fit. I like how you'll be able to layer underneath it.
