Lundenburg Pullover

Ta da!  I finished the orange sweater with some ultra crafty problem solving when I ran out of orange yarn and didn't want to buy more.

I made the 42 inch chest because I wanted a roomy sweater and it's a little too roomy but I bet I'll like it when winter returns.  I find tight fitting wool sweaters not as warm as loose fitting ones.  It's the same for mittens and socks for me.

I do like how I striped the ribbings of the body and the sleeves to get my length and to save as much orange wool as possible.

  6. Just beautiful, Karen. And I applaud you for your "craftiness" when it came to making that orange yarn go as far as you could and then going with something else for the ribbing. I love it all!

You will love this sweater more, because of the memories of how you "crafted" it, under 'duress'!!!!!! -smile-

Re: your comment on my post (https://wordswisps.blogspot.com/2020/04/did-you-have-front-porch.html)...... For some reason, my mind has gone blank, on how to make a click-able link!!!!!!! Duhhhhh meeeee! LOL

Oh how delightful! You had a front porch, growing up, and you and your mom used it! Oh how lucky you were!!!!! What lovely memories you must have, of this!

  8. It turned out so pretty. I think the cuffs and bottom ribbing add to the beauty of the sweater. Great problem solving on your part. I too, like my sweaters a bit roomy for the same reason you do.

  9. That turned out great. I love the extra pop of color at the bottom and on the cuffs. I'm betting some days might still be cool enough to wear it NOW!

  11. Oh MY goodness the pumpkin sunrise sweater finish is beautiful. What a great job. I cannot stand things that are tight on my body in any way. So often I will not knit a sweater because of that. So I knit a vest.....or shawl. Great job.

  18. What a beautiful sweater. The colors are perfect together and for you. I agree that winter sweaters (or any for that matter) are best with a little ease. I would never know that the cuffs and ribbing weren't planned ahead of time.
