Blooming Violets

Good morning!  How has your week been?  This week was probably my best week to date with being productive and focusing on what I want to accomplish each day.  Also yesterday while it was tipping down buckets of rain, I really didn't lament about it. Usually I whine and whine (out loud and to myself) about the clouds and the dreariness of it all. Can't say why yesterday was a non-whining day but it made for a great mental attitude day in my head.

The violets are blooming as well as my flowering apple tree and my dogwood trees, I hope to get out this weekend and get some photos during some partly sunny hours.  The forecast is looking quite summery and maybe we will get the swing and lawn furniture out so we can sit in nature.

The above photo is Holly looking at her beloved nemesis.  She checks in on Frodo every morning sometimes sitting within one foot of him (he's under the ottoman).  I know Frodo knows that she is there, I'd like to believe he likes her company.  Yesterday she was out and about in the 'dog' zone and he didn't move from that ottoman.  Progress in their relationship!

I painted some Mother's day cards.

I did a ton of cross stitching and of course knitting.  Nothing is done but I keep on crafting and getting excited to see my progress grow.

Where ever you are and whatever you are doing, I hope you are having lots of fun keeping busy and staying healthy.  Thank you all for visiting, reading and commenting.

  7. Ohhh you have Violets!!!!!!

I looked for them, when it was sunny. Nope, not yet. When they show up, it is Spring, for me.

Hooray for having a more happy attitude! It makes so much difference. Even if we have to talk-ourselves-into-it, at times. Here, when it gets gloomy for days, I have to talk my husband into or out of it.

Like I asked him... "Where do you want to go?" "Nowhere" It's just that he is being told he can;t go. LOL. So I pointed this out to him, and perked him up, and he is now out in his work shop, doing exactly what he wants to be doing. Stay-home or no stay-home! -smile-

    I do good Work!!!!!! -grin-

  11. I'm so glad you're seeing some spring - I'm going to credit THAT for the improved mood :-) The photo of your watercolors makes me realize I have almost that same set (mine is just 4 rows ... doesn't have the bottom row) and I have NEVER used it. This might be the month!
