Heels and Toes Socks

Ah, a pair of socks finished for when autumn leaves are falling.  I bought this yarn when I was visiting my sister last November.  I was attracted to that brilliant yellow and new I needed a pair of socks.  Who knew I would be treasuring that memory of browsing a store without a care in the world!

The sock pattern is a memorized pattern with 64 stitches cast on on size 2 needles constructed from the cuff down.  The body of the leg consists of four rows of stockinette and two rows of 2x2 rib.  Easy peasy.

What are you working on this week?

I have high hopes of finishing a cross stitch project in less than a week.  It's a daring goal.

  1. What fun socks. Grey and yellow are always great together and I really like the pattern you knit. I'm plugging away on various projects - socks (or course), a Hitchhiker and some Granny Squares.

  4. Love the gray and yellow together. A real perky combo for those dreary days of winter. What heel.did you use? Looks like the FKL. Just checking as I am getting ready to make my first pair of socks with heels and toes in different color than the main body. A cross stirch in a week? Amazing!!!

  9. Great socks come with a treasure of memories. The yellow is going to feel like a bright cheerful spot next winter. I seem to be in a pink and white phase - a new shawl and a Love and Hearts Hat for my granddaughter. Colors in my knitting seem to come clumped together. Who knew?
