Knitting News

Good morning!  Another wonderful Wednesday where I show you minimal knitting progress! I'll blame in on the one-month-retired husband who distracts me, and I'm sticking to that excuse. How are you? How is your life going these days? We are going to the urgent eye clinic this morning because my husband did something to his eye a few weeks ago and it's not really better but worse. I'm taking my knitting and my book and have positive thoughts of getting the second sock done.

The wedding shawl is my most favorite knit of all. I love the weight of the beads and the bit of sparkle they give. I love doing my wedges too. I am on the ninth wedge (out of ten total). It takes longer and longer to do each row. The beading row is now taking more than 2 hours. I'm in knitting heaven!

What are you working on this week?

Comments

  1. Prayers for your husband to have a good outcome at the eye doctor. I had a scare with one of my eyes last summer, so I truly understand. Prayers being offered for you both today. Let us know how it goes. I love your knitting projects.

  3. Saying a little prayer for your husband. The wedding shawl is so pretty. Working with beads is slow going but so worth it in the end. Your second sock will be finished soon enough. Sitting in a waiting room is the perfect time to knock out several rows.

  4. Best wishes for your husband's eye; eyes are very important! I hope it's not serious, but I also hope you get lots of knitting done. I love the glimmer from those beads!

  6. I hope your husband's eye is easily addressed and fixed!
You are a paragon of patience. There is no way I could make a large Citron. They are beautiful, but those rows get so long. And then you add in the beads! It will be an heirloom!

  11. Your knitting heaven sounds a little like my knitting hell :-) but wow, that shawl is going to be fabulous! Hope your husband's eye is getting better - any emergency medical thing is scary these days (and thank goodness for sock knitting!)

  12. I do hope you husband's eye is ok, that is a worry.

Two hours to do a row, wow that is something, I think it might take me a lot longer than that!!
