How was your weekend? Mine was eventful and busy. Our son and future daughter in law were in town for a little wedding shower that my husband and I threw for them and their PSU friends at a local venue. The weather was fantastic for outside photos, the food was delicious and the venue was extremely spacious and ultra social distancing was experienced!

I enjoyed seeing them and meeting friends whose names I've heard over the course of four years.

Both Holly and Frodo were exhausted from the weekend as well. I'll be honest, I was tired too! I had lots of setting up, cleaning up and extra laundry on Sunday.

Can you believe the incredible weather we've been having? Who would have thought it would be over 70 degrees in early November? Today is our last day of warm weather and then some chilliness will arrive starting tomorrow, I'm ready.

I've been working on sock one of the third pair of holiday socks.

How was your weekend?

  1. Pretty, pretty flowers and Frodo looks exhausted! LOL. Glad the weekend weather was so awesome for your get together with your son and future DIL and their friends. I bet it was a lovely time. Weather is still gorgeous here!

  2. So glad you enjoyed the shower and that it was done properly. I had to skip my future daughter in laws shower, it was held indoors in a tiny little place with no masks or social distancing - no thanks! I hope you take today to rest up and just enjoy the beautiful weather :)

  3. Sounds like a nice weekend. We had sun but only got up to 41 degrees. Sweater and wool sock weather.

  4. Sounds wonderful for a great celebration. The flowers look beautiful Karen. Rest up for a day or two.

  5. :-) Frodo looks like I felt yesterday, too!

  6. Sweet of you to throw them a shower!
The weather was perfect.. we loved every minute of it.

  7. How nice to be able to celebrate with a wedding shower. Frodo looks like he has the right idea after a busy weekend. Pretty flowers - red and white is such a classic combination.

  8. So glad to hear the shower went well. Wedding and pre-wedding activities are fun but exhausting. Hope you have a good week.

  9. I hope my comment went through. IF not: loved your celebration

  10. What a lovely idea, your party sounds wonderful. I am glad that you were still able to do and all stay safe too. I hope you have got some rest now and are ready for the rest of the week. We have had some warm days here too, its very strange to be able to go out in November without a coat on!

  11. Love seeing Frodo sleeping. Too cute.
