Sea of Blues Shawl

I finished another project this weekend, I'm telling you - I am riding a knitting wave during these January days. This shawl was a fun knit and the kit was gifted to me by a knitting friend.

The wool was delightful to knit with and because it is DK weight, the project was a fast knit. I loved the squishy wool and the speed of the knitting.

The kit pattern mentioned that a few of the colors would be used up completely so of course I ran out of yarn in those two colors.  I just used other colors and solved my yarn shortage problem. I ran out of the gray and the indigo. I still think it looks pretty good and no one would know.

What are you working on this week?

  1. What a pretty shawl and how good that you were able to solve that yarn shortage. I am knitting a pink and green sweater, almost to the arm separating, and a pair of mittens. I was waiting on needles that finally arrived so I will get back to those.

  7. Beautiful. No. You can't see that there was any adjustment to the colors. It looks great.

Me? Knitting socks. Are you surprised? I'm still plugging away on the Arne and Carlos socks for Steve. I messed up the heel and had to start over.

  15. The blues are lovely in your shawl. Definitely spring and summer. And never mind on where'd you get your bujo supplies; I have perfectionist block and don't need to spend any more money on stuff until I get my act together.
