Knitting News

I've got my priorities right, there is ALWAYS room for knitting no matter how chaotic it is to be packing up a house. I look gleefully to 6 pm when I can sit and knit. So, onto the knitting update-

The moon river shawl is growing and growing. I'm enjoying this pattern and am contemplating grabbing some more left over fingering weight wools to cast on another one. Maybe. I probably should check to see if I like the shawl blocked, but as you know, blocking makes everything better and what would I not like?

My second birch leaf shawl is also making steady progress, I'll be knitting this until I run out of yarn and the skein has 880 yards (approximately). This shawl is easy for me because there are four lace rows and the wrong side rows are purling only. This knit is a pure delight!

What are you working on this week?

Comments

  1. I am working on a couple of shawls (one for gifting, one for my wardrobe) and a sweater! There should always be time for knitting! :)

  2. I'm glad you still have room and time for knitting, and those shawls are lovely! I'm still working on my Hitchhiker (just like usual)!

  3. I do love your shawls. Both are such pretty colors. It seems to be that despite being so busy with packing up a house and de-cluttering you are still managing to knit quite a bit - the progress is nice. I'm knitting dishcloths which my hands are not appreciating (cotton yarn), but my brain is loving (no thought - lol)!!

  4. Thanks for the links to these pretty shawl patterns! I'm glad you have made time for knitting as you prepare to move. Knitting is calming most of the time, isn't it?

  5. Socks. Always socks.

But, I bought a sweater pattern. I have the yarn. I really should get started so I can have a nice sweater when fall rolls around again.

Your shawls are coming along so nicely.

I should be knitting my feather and fan, but am only interested in making teddy bears. Last night I changed a mini ear into a mini kitty . Today I'll go back to the One seam Teddy. I have the cutest yarn for his sweater

  10. Those shawls are lovely. Of course blocking makes everything better. My knitting took a little break this past week, except for a pair of traveling socks. Now I'm home for a few days, I hope to get back to my shawl and a pair of two color mittens.

  12. The test knit has been my main priority. A few knitters have finished their first socks which is the requirement.
