Blush Blanket

Miracle of miracles! I finished the baby blanket yesterday afternoon. I am so pleased with how the blanket turned out. However, knitting with cotton yarn is problematic for my arthritic hands. I have to pace my knitting and not do too much at one sitting. My hands prefer wool.

I wrote a long list of what I'd like to knit for the granddaughter-to-be and the grandson from now until the end of the year. I need to focus and knit! I ordered more yarn that should be here by the end of the week to make a baby sweater and hat. Also I want to make a smaller blanket that is perfect for the baby carrier in the car.

What are you working on this week?

  2. What a beautiful blanket Karen! Luck grand-daughter to be. My hands bother me when I knit with cotton too - it's hard! Can't wait to see your new yarns and learn what you will be knitting next.

  4. Your granddaughter's blanket is beautiful. Baby knits are just so much fun to make. They are *almost* instant gratification. Can't wait to see all the cute things as you make them.

  5. That blanket is so pretty. Similar to one I recently made for a good friend's daughter who is expecting. I too have made a list of items I want to knit/crochet for my granddaughter and grandson . I am in the middle of a sweater for my granddaughter and want to make a stuffed pup for my grandson. So many cute things to make, so little time.

  6. The 2nd photo is lovely! In your 1st photo, I thought you had yellow and pink in the blanket. I should start a baby blanket project! I did a granny square blanket while pregnant last (for my now 4 year old son).

  11. Your blanket is just lovely. Can't wait to see what other baby items you plan to make in the year ahead. When i put hand knits on my tiny grands they look so comfortable....much better than stiff store bought items.
