Knitting News

Hello! My knitting this week has been a bit different, I returned to the sweater that I'm not sure if I have enough yarn to finish. I have used two out of five skeins for the yoke and some of the body. I decided to stop working on the body and switched to work both sleeves with the same yarn. After the sleeves are finished, I will then know if I am running short of yarn. If so, I will stripe in another tan color of yarn to elongate the body.

What are you working on this week?

  1. Socks, socks and more socks. Too hot to have anything on my lap. Fingers crossed for your yarn chicken game.

  2. Yes, good luck with yarn chicken. I finished my green Hitchhiker with 35 teeth specifically because I did not want to play yarn chicken! Now I'm working on finishing a sock.

  3. I have begun completing sweater arms before I am all the way done with the body. It helps me to know whether I will be finishing a crop sweater or not LOL. I love a good game of yarn chicken, but sometimes....

  4. I am working down my stash of kitchen cotton today. I really don't enjoy making them, but I am determined to finish up the bin of cotton. I've used up several balls and half balls this week. Yay me!

Hope you win at yarn chicken.

  6. Still taking a break due to carpal tunnel issues, but I long to get back to it!

  7. Sounds like a plan. I am knitting socks and working on a sweater. I started doing math tonight to figure out how long before I finish the body of this sweater because I also have yarn on the way for another sweater - always more to knit

  9. You have a plan if the yarn runs out. Stockinette sweater knitting is very peaceful - mostly. I cast on a sweater for my granddaughter.
