Weekends

Good morning! How was your weekend?

Mine was relaxing. After we returned home on Thursday from seeing the grandchildren in Indiana, my Friday was a catch up day. Saturday and Sunday were completely relaxing.

Saturday I fiddled about with organizing my online photos for 2020, 2021 and 2022 (yes woefully behind but done!). I still have to save some photos on this computer to save to a flash drive yet. Isn't it silly to be virtually organizing? Remember when we had physical copies of everything and would place the photos in photo albums?

Saturday afternoon, I read books and worked on the last hitchhiker shawl (still not done).

Sunday after Mass, I did laundry and cleaned the house somewhat. I read some more and knitted some more. That last hitchhiker shawl is taking forever but I am so close to being finished.

I'm sure we are still going to have hot weather but honestly it's been refreshing to be cold in the mornings and see the changes in the trees. Fall is rushing in and I am welcoming it.

  1. I think it's a good idea to organize those digital photos. I don't want to say how far behind I am! You are knitting some beautiful yarn into that Hitchhiker!

  2. I agree with Bonny on organizing digital photos! (and like her, I am far, far behind!)

    Happy Much Cooler Monday!

  3. How do you organize digital photos? By subject? By date? We are heading below 100° this week and I am ecstatic. Hopefully we will stay that way until next summer.

  4. The cooler times sure have been welcomed around here too.

The yarn for your Hitchhiker is very pretty.

  5. A relaxing weekend sounds perfect. We hosted H's friends for a playdate and let them make their own pizzas.. so I had a lot of clean up to do. Not relaxing.

  6. The hitchhiker looks very pretty. I love the colors. Hooray for cooler mornings. We had a few cooler days and are now warming up again. A relaxing weekend is nice. Most of my hard copy photos are in photo boxes arranged by date. I gave up the albums quite early as it seemed like the kids needed photos for school projects. They were hard to get out of albums and then back into them.

  7. Your garden looks pretty. I like that yarn you are using for that hitchhiker shawl.

  8. I should try to organize my photos somehow. I have many, many photo albums and used to be quite good at keeping everything organized and up-to-date. So glad you could visit your grandchildren, and then rest and relax when you got home. You have a lovely backyard. Have a good week!
