Weekends

My weekend was nice and a beautiful change from the chaos of getting new appliances. The chaos was worth every single minute. The temperature has been dropping, finally. I am all in for some chilly weather. Those little ones on Halloween will be freezing!

I've been working on gnomes, making steady progress but slow process. So far I have two completed. I have found my rhythm though and that makes the knitting feel fast.

Can you believe it'll be three weeks until Thanksgiving? I will have a full house and I am hosting dinner this year. My lists are detailed - the more I write down the less overwhelmed I feel about the time together with family.

How was your weekend?

  2. Our weekend was good. I got some needed things done and did some cooking (which I love). And we saw Mailing which was a surprise!! Mabel is back to being her normal self (meaning in and out a bazillion times a day). I love that she goes out, but is back within not too long a time.

  3. Your kitchen is just lovely. We had cold but sunny and I ventured into the garden for the first time since June. Still a bit wobbly on my feet but it was good for my soul.

  5. A nice quiet weekend is always welcomed. Glad to hear your appliances are worth the chaos. With you hosting Thanksgiving, they will be worth every penny spent. I started Gnomanda this week. G imes are so much fun to make and give.

  6. The gnome is adorable! I know what you mean about finding your rhythm. I'm the same way when it comes to starting a crochet pattern. Your kitchen looks so peaceful. In just a few more weeks it will be filled with fun and laughter and lots of good food! I hope your dad is well.

  9. Your kitchen looks great! Hurray for new appliances that make cooking and being in the kitchen more fun. We got all new appliances this past summer when we moved into this house and no regrets at all! Your Thanksgiving plans sound wonderful. I love the little gnome. How fun! I hope you have a great week.

  10. Every chaotic thing in our home ends up being a blessing after and feels so good when it is done. I love your kitchen. It looks so inviting and homy. I love your gnomes. What brands did you go with for your new appliances? There are soooo many options and it can be so confusing.

  11. Your kitchen looks great! We had a busy weekend enjoying a visit from the woman from Germany who hosted our daughter for study abroad long ago; it was so nice to see her for the first time since 1994!
