Knitting News

Good morning! How are all of you?

I finished that blanket! Not only did I finish it on Friday night, I mailed it on Saturday morning. I've knit this pattern many times and have it memorized. That's what makes it a comforting knit.

Even better news, I started a pair of simple socks for my husband and there is no knitting deadline. It's nice to pick up and put down a mindless knit. I am also enjoying the absence of a self imposed deadline.

What are you working on this week?

  2. Beautiful gift knitting... that will be wonderful to snuggle a wee baby! And I think sock knitting is the best comfort knitting. It has enough interesting bits interspersed with mindless stockinette!

  7. Nice work on that pretty blanket! Looks like your DH is going to get some nice socks; I did my male sock recently for a kid with a huge foot, sure hope you DH's foot is smaller. Socks are still what I am making now though; I have way too much fingering yarn and a lot of sock WIPs!

  9. What a sweet blanket. That looks like a lot of knitting to me and you finished in record time. Knitting socks without a deadline sounds like a good kind of knitting. The colors in the yarn are very handsome. I'm also working on socks, a sweater, and a scarf/shawl.
