Happenings
How are you? Over here, I've been enjoying the cooler weather even though it's short lived. I went for a walk outside with a zip hoodie (gasp!) in the early morning. As you know, I quit walking outside in March due to allergies (I can't take allergy meds due to dry mouth and when my nose stuffs up I get dry mouth...ugh!) then when the allergies finally settled it was too hot for me (also heat intolerant, ugh). So my walk was nice! I am used to exercising in my art/office room now so that is the new normal for me.
In other news, I am nearly finished with the cross stitch baby sampler! Of course I will have to wait to see what the baby's name and birth date are but that's easy peasy. I enjoy the hour I spend each day on it and will miss this simple project.
I finished the knitting portion of the baby sweater but I have to bury threads and sew on buttons. The weekend was 'busy' with the grandkids and I completely forgot when I had time to sit. It's on my 'list' of things to do today. Later this week, I will be registering for my adult learning classes where there are no tests and all the fun of learning! You know I will sign up for Tai Chi, the best class ever.
How was your weekend?
The weather has been amazing! I had on PJ pants and a light sweatshirt one morning! I managed to do some necessary chores but also found a little bit of time for fun stuff - reading, knitting and stitching. Glad you could get outside for a walk! The heat will be back...but it won't last for all that long.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. ❤️ How lovely to enjoy cooler 😎 temperatures. Here in Montreal it had been very hot and humid and the air quality has been bad due to wildfires 🔥 I am so glad when we get a day or two of relief.
ReplyDeletejust look at those flowers! Our weekend was good ... I spent all the time I wasn't walking Lucy inside doing ... sewing, reading, mixing dough, knitting, and especially enjoyed a few calls with distant friends. It's chilly (high 60's!!) and rainy today ... and I'm enjoying more of all of that!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of you being outdoors again for exercise. My craftroom is my 'gym' for the foreseeable future. That little baby sampler is so sweet. You are truly being blessed with lots if granfbaboes to love.
ReplyDeleteHow nice you were able to get outdoors for a walk. The flowers are so pretty. We had a nice quiet weekend with some special music at church on Sunday that made the service beautiful. We also had some cooler weather and I walked mid afternoon instead of early to beat the heat.
