Happenings
Good morning! How are you doing?
I've been doing okay, I haven't been feeling the greatest but I could feel worse. My schedule is busy and maybe I don't get enough downtime to recharge my batteries. It's going to be busy with grandkids, adult learning classes and many doctor appointments in the next 2 1/2 weeks. I still have a few tests for the pulmonary doctor to complete before I see her mid-November for a follow up visit. I have only myself to blame for the scheduling!
I found out that there is emergency knitting to be had! My daughter informed me that the baby desperately needs hats and socks for his tiny body. All the gifts she received are for 6 months and bigger. Well you know what I was doing yesterday, a deep dive into my yarn stash! I cast on a little hat yesterday afternoon. Bliss knitting!
I've been walking outside and enjoying being in nature after more than six months of doing cardio in my house. There is nothing like fresh air and I believe nature heals.
What have you been up to these days? Are you enjoying the weather?

I hope you find some "down time" soon, Karen! I know how crucial "recharge" time is!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great when someone ASKS for your knits. Have fun with those baby things.
ReplyDelete❤️ emergency knitting sounds joyful! 🩵💜
ReplyDeleteI love emergency knitting! :-)
ReplyDeleteEmergency knitting. I love that.
ReplyDeletehaha.. emergency knitting. Anything for the grandbabies right. Hope you get some downtime soon.
ReplyDeleteOh that newest grandchild!! Iris is not fond of wearing hats (but she loves to steal Colin's off his head). And the socks I knit go on her feet when she and Colin go out for a stroll (in the stroller), but as soon as she comes inside she pulls them off. Today she napped in my lap. Her bare feet were toasty warm. I wish I knew the secret to that!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that emergency knitting. At least if the baby needs a small size, you are likely to finish before he grows out of the hat on the needles. Take some time to recharge. As I age, I find that resting when my body requests is important.
ReplyDeleteHow special that you are able to knit the "needs" of the new little grandson. So sweet that your daughter let you know! I'm sorry that you aren't feeling your best. Praying for you.
