Happenings
Good morning from Cambridge Massachusetts!!
We are heading home after visiting our new baby grandson and witnessing his baptism. Immediate family from both sides gathered to celebrate. Of course I had the best time ever!
I finished all the respiratory testing with the pulmonologist last week and had my follow up appointment. Overall I passed the tests. I’m doing a trial steroid inhaler for the next few months and taking a break from additional testing hoping this helps with my symptoms. I am beyond thrilled to not see a doctor for eight weeks! I’ve changed my rheumatologist and my pcp in the last few weeks to have fresh perspectives on my complicate autoimmune disease. I feel good about these changes.
How have you been? What have you been up to?

I wish you safe travels home! What a blessed time away! I hope that you got in a good amount of baby snuggles!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds perfect, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I'm happy to hear things are looking up with your health as well. I can relate to your joy about having a whole eight weeks without seeing a doctor. I was going constantly for a while there. Now having weeks or even months in between feels amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh yay for meeting your newest grandson. And, a fun visit to Cambridge. Also yay for passing your medical tests!! Enjoy the 8 weeks off from doctor visits and have a safe trip home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing to be able to witness your grandsons baptism. The churches back east have such beautiful architecture. Hopefully the change in Drs will give you more answers and better relief from your daily symptoms. Have a safe trip home.
ReplyDeleteThat church altar is amazing!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to see the new little one and participate in his baptism. What a special time. Cambridge is amazing. We were there a few years back when Stephen was looking at seminaries.
ReplyDeleteKaren, I'm so glad that you were able to visit and meet your new grandson in Cambridge! How exciting for everyone.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful that you have a break from seeing doctors for 8 weeks! You've really been seeing a lot of them with all of the testing, etc. and follow up appointments. I'm glad that you are pleased with the changes that you have made with your doctors also. Praying this new steroid inhaler will help with your symptoms.
Sure sounds like you had a good time.
ReplyDeleteI hope your travels are safe and you are safe and sound at home. How wonderful to meet your new little grandson and witness his baptism. And then to have a little shopping time at independent bookstores and a paper and pen store. What a great visit.
ReplyDeleteI've never been there. I'd also love to see so many bookstores. I love literature.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, and I invite you to see my new painting :)
Lovely photos. I wish you a safe and enjoyable trip.
