Happenings

Good morning! How are you doing today?

I've been pretty good overall. Our company left last Wednesday and I put my house back together again within two hours. That might be a record. We miss our daughter and her family, but I am also enjoying the silence and the NOT cooking for a crowd.

Since they left, I've returned to knitting and reading. I've made lots of progress on my yoke sweater while watching TV in the evening or listening to podcasts. Never fear, I have been working on my other two projects as well while thinking about new projects. That's what knitters do.

Since we had a tiny warm up, there was ONE bug in the house so now Holly is on the hunt for future possible bugs in the house. This is her surveilling the family room. Too cute!!

On Saturday I walked outside which is a rarity. Because of my severe dry eyes and the scleral lenses, I cannot be outside if there is a wisp of wind. However, I braved up to 8 MPH winds and took my chances. I enjoyed being outside so much. The birds were singing. Also I could not get enough of the blue skies. I miss my daily walking outside, next time I see my eye doctor I guess I'll look into special glasses that shield the wind.

Sunday we watched the grandchildren in the afternoon and had tons of fun. I love being with them because I am in the present moment and that is the very best place to be.

What's new with your?

  3. How nice to be back on schedule. Holly is so cute. Your very own bug zapper. I was wondering if there weren't some type of goggles or safety glasses you could wear to protect your eyes. I'm sure the Dr will have the perfect solution.

  7. Special glasses would be very helpful with your walks. We still have snow on the ground, no tulips popping through yet.
