Happenings

Good morning! How are you doing today?

I've been enjoying the spring time weather (it was a little too warm for me on Saturday, but it was nice enough). Thankfully we are not as warm today and therefore I am not as hot in my house. As you know, I love winter and I love to be cold. I do not like to be hot. My one lonely snowdrop is blooming. I guess when my husband redid the garden bed he disrupted the batch of them. Hopefully this one will multiply over the years.

Also the crocuses!! Gah! I am so excited to see them as well. A true sign that spring is heading our way.

On Saturday the kids and grandkids came over in the morning to visit and stay for lunch. We were outside sitting on the patio while the grandkids did outside chalk. We all had a really nice time together.

On Sunday after church and lunch, my sister invited me to go with her to the local yarn store. I had no plans to buy anything. I came home with a new project bag! I haven't bought a new project bag in over 10 years. I saw this one (Della Q - Makers) and fell in love with the mustard yellow. What a splurge and a well deserved one after the challenging year I've had with my health.

I still have additional lung testing to do in the coming weeks and then maybe, just maybe I will be put on another immunosuppressant. Thankfully I love my pulmonologist, her specialty is autoimmune lung diseases.

How as your week? Any splurges?

  2. Sounds like a lovely weekend! Our temperature reached 80 here on Saturday. There was a breeze and it even enticed me to go out and work in one of the flowerbeds in the afternoon!
I'm so glad that you have a good lung specialist, Karen. Praying that the future testing goes well.

  4. Love the bag.. good luck with the lung test. I checked today and with all the snow finally gone I saw little tulip shoots popping through. Hopefully soon we will have flowers too.
