Knitting News

Well well well, I am making progress on the impulsive shawl I started while still working on my yoke sweater. I am basking in the spring-like color and enjoying how each row gets longer and longer. I might give this as a holiday gift or I might keep it for myself. I'm not sure yet.

I reached the first sleeve cuff on my yoke sweater, a victory! I have about 10 more rows then I can start the second sleeve.

My knitting time has been limited. I have more medical tests this week and of course picking up the sweet grands at daycare. A full busy life is a wonderful blessing!!

How are you? What are you working on this week?

  1. I am loving your impromtu shawl!! I just two of my grands so their mom could go with a friend to play Bingo at Foxwoods for her 40th birthday (which is today).I dropped them at school and will be picking them up later. Her friend's mom works as a Labor & Delivery Nurse and has told me I can donate my handknits to them if I wish....I am so happy. I love making blankets and hats for newborns.....so, that is on my agenda to organize my stash later today. If my hands allow me to do so anyway.

  2. Your shawl start is so pretty - airy and Spring-like with the pink color. Sometimes after a day of watching Iris I don't have the strength or energy to do anything!! But I wouldn't give it up for anything.

  7. I made a shawl once, it was pinky shades with a gold thread to add sparkle. I'm always switching projects, that way I can be sure to grab a project that suits Knit & Natter sessions. I do the complicated bits at home, as nobody can concentrate well with all the chatting.

  8. A pink shawl is a great knit for spring. May your medical tests go smoothly and help you find some answers.

  9. Love the color of your shawl. It's great that you give yourself permission to start and stop your knitting whenever you want and whatever mood strikes you at the time. Good luck this week.
