Happenings
Good morning to you! I'm sitting at my kitchen table writing this post and listening to the birds gently start their day. I'm enjoying watching a mama cardinal feed her baby safflower seeds, so sweet. The word is out on the street that I'm feeding them and I cannot believe how many birds are visiting the feeder. Who knew that they like this seed this much.
Over all it's been a nice week. I had a bit of an autoimmune disease flare but I think it's settled down. I'm still waiting to hear back for the doctors. I have so many specialists it's difficult to decide which one to message.
The above painting is from the watercolor preprinted set that my daughter and son in law gave me. I am having so much fun, I only started this on Friday. We are watching the local grands today so I don't know if I will have the time or the energy to resume painting.
Since I felt off this weekend, I went to the bookstore to cheer myself up. I love bookstores and libraries both are divine and make me feel happy deep down inside. I bought two books even though I have hundreds at home I could easily read.
I'm excited that the hot weather is gone and we have cooler weather - I hope I can walk outside!
What have you been doing? Can you walk in hot humid air? Are you a book junkie?

I'm also a book junkie, regularly visiting two library systems (and with an account at a third for audiobook queues) and D.C.'s many awesome bookstores. The therapeutic nature of book fumes is not to be underrated!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your flare up. I hope it's gone now. I can't exercise in the hot weather and I have not walked in ages (of course I've been too busy as well). Love seeing your painting again - so pretty. And yes, I'm definitely a book junkie, though I don't buy books for me like I used to do. We get a lot for Iris though!
ReplyDeleteI am likewise sorry about your flare up... I cannot imagine having to navigate all that you do. This warm weather certainly shortened any walks I was taking. I was glad for the reprieve this morning and Frankie and I took good advantage of it! I am immersed this week in a bit of a Mystery-a-thon! All good!
ReplyDeleteHappy Beautiful Monday Morning! I love libraries and book stores too! While I have given up on books, since I like reading on my Kindle now for my eyes, I can just walk around a bookstore and it makes me happy. I cannot walk in humidity. I feel so much better when it is dryer outside. I hope you feel better....
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better. No, I can't walk in the heat and humidity. This is a new "problem" for me as I never had a problem until last year. Heck . . . I lived in Florida and spent much of my time outside either biking or inline skating. To say it has put a kink in my walking would be an understatement (and I hate going to the gym). Ugh. Waiting on fall for sure!
ReplyDeleteBoo for the flare! The watercolor is so pretty and looks very dainty. I prefer books on my Amazon Fire since I read mostly in bed. But a handle held book is my preference when going out and about. There is zero walking outdoors here for the next several months. Too darn hot and the humidity ia building too. The heat ia the worse part though.
