Quick Beam Hat

How are you? Are you in the midst of summer weather? It has been hot around here. I am grateful for the AC and the ability to hide in the AC. I've been enjoying the goldfinches that come to my thistle feeder. I am serving up safflower in the other bird feeder and all my regulars from the winter visits are enjoying the change up. I am lucky I have a kitchen window that overlooks the bird feeders, that makes doing the dishes a delight.

I finished my hat! I loved knitting this project because of its simplicity. I could knit this one again and again. Now I wish for fall already so I can wear it now. I've tucked it away in on my fall/winter shelf and it awaits a chilly day. sigh.

What have you been working on this week?

  1. The hat turned out so nice, Karen. It's hot here too and we are in for some thunderstorms over the next several days. Our bird feeders are outside our kitchen window as well, so I understand how much you enjoy watching them while doing the washing up.

  2. That hat is really lovely, Karen! I am ignoring fall and looking for things of delight in the current season (not as easy in this warm, muggy weather... sigh) but my delight this week was watching a Pileated Woodpecker splash about in my birdbath!

  3. Our weather has become summer here too. I am now a houseplant again until October or November. The hat looks so toasty and warm. The color screams the changing leaves of fall.

  4. The fact that you are able to knock out these knitting projects so fast just impresses me to no end.

  6. We are in the midst of summer here. What a handsome hat. The color will be perfect for fall. I have always wanted to try one of those double hats. I finished a hat today and started a new spinning project.
