Happenings
Good morning! How are you? I'm 'okay' - I've been plagued with aches and chills and yes a fever all day yesterday and through the night which sets off a nerve pain from a very very old disc herniation (1999). Thankfully ibuprofen helps me and I cannot wait to eat breakfast and take some, Tylenol just doesn't touch it. This virus was going through the kid's house two weeks ago and I avoided it skillfully UNTIL my husband started symptoms earlier this week. It was only a matter of time I would get it. Sigh.
On Saturday before my illness we went with the kids and grandkids to the Children's Museum where they had an Eric Carle exhibit. The kids loved it. To be honest, I loved it. On the wall was his biography in bullet form that took mere minutes to read. Fascinating. I was surprised that the museum wasn't crowded either.
I have been half-heartedly knitting the first sock. And I finished a few books since reading was all I could do yesterday. I also started the mindfulness book that I'm sure I read but it must be before Goodreads....
How are you? How was your weekend?

Oh dear! I sure hope you are on the mend now. A virus is always annoying, but I think particularly so in the warm/humid months. I bet the Eric Carle exhibit was great. Iris loves his books.
ReplyDeleteHello and good morning, dear Karen. I'm so sorry to hear of your illness. It sounds like what I had over the weekend as well. Praying you feel better soon. Sending hugs. Dianna
ReplyDeleteI also hope you are feeling better this morning! I also hope you are staying cool in this muggy weather bout we are having!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that you're sick. I sure hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHaving an autoimmune disease is not for the faint of heart. Hopefully you will be able to kick this virus to the curb quickly. I jad never heard of Eric Carle. Now I need to go and google him. I am working on multiple projects with few results. Maybe I should just concentrate on one until it's done huh.
ReplyDeleteWell rats. I am sorry you are battling another virus and nerve pain. I hope the ibuprofen helps. There is a wonderful Eric Carle Museum in Mass. We visited once. Enjoy your reading and recovery.
