Knitting News

To be honest I haven't worked on my sweater for over two weeks, but to keep the blog info current, I'm throwing in a photo.  Let's pretend I've knitted a stitch or two, okay?  If you remember, I ripped out the first try and now I'm down a garment size and starting over.  I'm nearly caught up on the big rip out though.

This is hat number THREE out of four!  Yes, I'm over half way over and I work on the hats every single night.  I predict that I will be done with all four hats by the end of November.  Phew!  They will be ready for tags and wrapping and stuffed into a Christmas stocking for my adult children.

This sweet cowl has seen a row or two, but not much.  I'm saving this for holiday visiting coming up because I can knit and talk at the same time and not make a mistake.  That is valuable during the holiday season.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow if you are celebrating!!

What are you working on this week?

  1. You're going so fast on those hats! The rest of the knitting will get done after you finished the hats. It will be great to have your Christmas knitting all done so early! Great thinking on the holiday visiting project.
I just finished a beret for my mom, made a little doily with some scraps and I'm thinking about what to make next.

  2. So fast with the hats! Christmas knitting is so much fun. Too bad I already finished all of mine. I am working on a blanket. It is Fair Isle, and very complicated. I choose it because it looks really nice when finished, but it is also quite difficult.

  3. I'm also working on knitting hats for Christmas gifts; you are my inspiration! Plus a whole lot of time in the kitchen working on Thanksgiving preparation, but I hope to finish up early today and fit in some more hat knitting!

  7. Truth be told I have not knit in days. I need to start the sleeves on a bottom up sweater and I am not confident. Hopefully I can do this on Friday hen the celebrations are over.

  12. Lots of knitting going on at your house. Certainly I'll pretend you knitted stitches on that sweater. I finished my sweater the evening of Thanksgiving. Today I gave it a bath and it is blocking. I have a sock going but cast on a toddler/young child hat from some yarn left over from another project. I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
