Christmas Wishes

 


Good morning! How are you doing? Are you ready for the holidays? 

I'm pleased to report that Frodo has been doing really well! He was barking so much yesterday that I have gratitude that he was back to his old self plus some annoyance mixed in with the gratitude. What a wonderful place to be.

I am still battling my virus, but each day I see progress and that makes me happy (today is my first day to not be under a blanket!) and luckily my husband is fully recovered. Onward and upward.

Yesterday I did lots of knitting and have mad scheming plans to finish these stockings for the grands for Christmas day. Completely doable if I set my mind to it! The worst part is the duplicate stitching of their names.

    Such good new about Frodo - bark on!! LOL (But not too loudly, please). I hope you follow in your husband's footsteps and will be fully recovered in no time. Great knitting on the stockings. I have not knit anything today...was hoping to...but other things occupied me. Merry Christmas!!

    oh that's wonderful news about Frodo and your husband, and trust you'll be 100% by Christmas. The stockings are really coming along ... and perhaps Santa would know whose is who even if you don't get the names finished?! merry merry! (and feel better!)

    I'm glad to hear that you are beginning to feel some better from the virus you and your husband have had. Glad he's better now. The stockings are beautiful...I love the shade of red.

    I need to make Elijah a stocking! I have an old sweater with holes in it that I'll cut up and sew. How nice you're knitting stockings for the grandchildren. Sounds like you'll be better by Christmas! 🎄 Have a wonderful Christmas!

Hopefulness

  Good morning! This week has been busy with classes and routine doctor appointments. The arthritis doctor has a few tricks up her sleeve for some of my dry mouth issues (from my autoimmune disease - Sjorgren's Syndrome) that make me feel hopeful. What was the most important thing during that doctor visit is that I felt seen and heard. I am thankful for her and her team. Speaking of hopefulness, look at my daffodils sprouting up! Some of the daffodils are just starting and some already have a head start. I love winter, but I'm looking forward to spring. The crocuses seem to be taking their time this year, as well as the snowdrops (unless those pesky deer have eaten them, grr). Even though I am still knitting my baby blanket, I have gathered four skeins of potential socks to be and am dreaming of a wonderful sock frenzy cast on.

New Year

  Good morning! How are you? Happy New Year, may this year be full of blessings to all of you. Well now, I finally have an empty home after having our son, daughter in law, grandson and granddaughter here for six nights.  I am still experiencing fatigue and symptoms from the virus even though I am feeling better. It was a challenge hosting family while recovering. Also we babysat the kids overnight (!!) while my son and daughter in law went for little getaway. I am thankful and grateful my Aunt came over both days to help out with the granddaughter who never sleeps during the day. (snack-naps do not count!). They all left early in the morning, and while I was tired, sleep deprived and fatigued, I put away Christmas plus all the toys and doodads you need for babies. Today I am looking at a squeaky clean house. I am planning on reading books and falling asleep while doing so! My exercise routine is on hold as I slowly get better. Maybe next week I can muster up some energy for some yoga
